Fun Day
I played soccer here for the first time today. In the late afternoon/early evening, most peoplee go down to the Children’s Center and either watch or play a wild game of futbol. It was super fun and I am definitely playing again. But this time I will actually wear shoes I can play in since there is hardly any grass to speak of. I’m pretty sure our team won 10-5 or something outrageous like that, but it was no thanks to me. But everytime I went for the ball everybody would be cheering me on anyways. It’s a fun atmosphere and I love learning all these crazy Honduran names. Like Reina (which means queen), or Minor or Naun. I love the way Spanish sounds, and I’ll love it even more when I can understand more than 30% of what’s being said.
